Advancing Social Connectedness: Building Action Together in Maine Communities
*ACROSS THE LIFESPAN*
Invite your colleagues and partners – and join with them on Thursday, February 29th for an interactive workshop session to dive into the Action Guide for Building Socially Connected Communities.
This session will be co-hosted with our partners at Healthy Places by Design and the Foundation for Social Connection. We will offer an overview of national and state data and MRBN’s Maine Youth Thriving: A Guide for Community Action to grow social connections and positive experiences for Maine youth.
Join us for a session designed to engage small groups of local leaders from the same communities (“community” as defined by your group) in exploring the newly released Action Guide for Building Socially Connected Communities. This is your chance to hear insights from those who designed the Guide along with other local leaders who wish to use it. We’ll spend much of this session in community groups in breakout rooms working through portions of the Action Guide together.
Please take the brave step of inviting your colleagues and community partners. If they’ve not heard about the Action Guide for Building Socially Connected Communities, the launch webinar provides a great introduction. Also, the info and resources on the U.S. Surgeon General’s website also offer compelling reasons and resources for coming together to increase social connection. More information on MRBN’s Youth Mattering Initiative on our website.
Please be sure registration is completed for you and your partners by
February 20th.
Additional information will be included in your confirmation email.
