  • Breakthrough research shows that early childhood trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), are linked to increased risks for physical, mental, emotional and behavioral health problems throughout life. They also can be passed down intergenerationally. Understanding this is critical for a healthy workforce, and provides education and support to employers to create trauma-informed/resilience responsive organizations. Science also shows that resilience and positive childhood experiences (PCEs) influence health and well-being. The good news is that resilience, which includes positive connections, can be learned and cultivated at any age. This training will provide an introductory overview of the science of stress, ACEs and ways to use resilience as a prevention strategy.
