Maine Public Health Association's 2019 Annual Conference, "One Maine, One Health: Uniting Maine's people, environment and wildlife for better health and economy." According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the "One Health" concept recognizes that the health of people is connected to the health of animals and the environment. A One Health approach includes physicians, veterinarians, ecologists, and many other public health professionals to monitor and control public health threats and to learn about how diseases spread among people, animals, and the environment.
MPHA's annual conference is the largest statewide meeting dedicated to public health in Maine. We attract 400+ public health professionals from across the state, and feature the latest science, policy, and programming related to public health in Maine.
