Please join Disability Rights Maine and the Maine Center for Juvenile Policy & Law on Tuesday, July 9th from 6-9pm at USM’s Hannaford Hall in Portland for a free screening of The Kids We Lose, a documentary from Lives In The Balance, in association with Lone Wolf Media. The film reveals the human side of being and having a child or student with behavioral challenges, and the struggles faced by parents, educators, staff in facilities, mental health clinicians, and law enforcement professionals in trying to ensure that these kids receive the help they need. There will be a panel discussion immediately following the screening that includes Dr. Ross Greene from Lives in the Balance, Christine Lyons (associate producer of the film), Ben Jones from DRM and a parent. We encourage you to come and please help spread the word. You can learn more at www.thekidswelose.com
